Role Mission
The Email Marketing Manager for Gucci America is responsible for coordinating, planning, maintaining, and executing all activities related to email & direct marketing campaigns throughout all touchpoints and channels. This individual will manage programs to help drive growth in client retention, client loyalty incremental sales and creation of client centric campaigns being able to complement the definition of the targeting strategy with an Omni channel execution and spirit.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, plan and execute an end to end omni channel contact plan;
- Oversee daily execution of all email campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging and online/offline sales objectives;
- Analyze and report on all campaigns ensuring all KPIs are being met;
- Report on Open Rate (OR), Click Through Rate (CTR), Conversion Rate (CR) and sales revenue (online sales and impacted sales) generated from email marketing efforts;
- Analyze email marketing data and provide quantitative as well as qualitative feedback to lead strategic actions and enhancement to grow Gucciâs contact plan;
- Provide insights on best practices and trends from the competitive landscape in order to uncover potential opportunities;
- Manage the regional contact email marketing plan in alignment with the product marketing calendar and regional product investments, and revise monthly and on demand based on business needs;
- Proofread emails and mobile-friendly templates for clarity, grammar, spelling, appropriate links, and call to action, ensuring compelling, accurate and on-time campaign delivery;
- Support the implementation and execution of personalized contact strategies, leading the planning and development of testing opportunities and rollout to constantly improve engagement and total results;
- Coordinate and collaborate with regional departments (Digital, Retail, Merchandising, Marketing and Communications) to identify priorities and content and ensure elevation with consistency toward company strategies;
- Identify, develop, design, and execute omni channel campaign strategies to create consumer journeys across multiple touchpoints, including eCommerce, retail, social media, digital and advertising, including email campaigns, direct mail initiatives, online programs, and in-store efforts to communicate brand values, new product collections and collaborative partnerships;
- Support the definition of rules of engagement/contact frequency/marketing consent for client segments;Â
- Balance target mix on customer and prospect types to develop the contact base and reach retention and acquisition rate improvements;
- Collaborate with Client Insights Analyst team and Client Engagement team to define target mix and monitoring practices;
- Scout and manage 3rd party vendors to optimize future opportunities or defined needs
- Coordinate and manage all aspects related to the planning, development, execution, deployment, analyses and reporting of all campaigns; direct mail, email campaigns, and customer journeys;
- Ensure and provide detailed weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting of KPIs and campaign results, summaries and analyses to further drive ongoing enhancements and highlight critical campaign information in a strategic and meaningful way for offline and online activations;
- Coordinate all aspects related to production with mail house to help improve and build upon existing processes, drive and ensure that timelines are met while maintaining the brand quality. Suggest personalization techniques where appropriate;
- Partner & execute with WW to maximize channel and tools engagement, and the results of those engagements and activities;
- Support the Senior Manager in planning and monitoring of omni-channel activities and re-address them as needed;
- Update the budget tracker with relevant vendor/invoice information;
Key Requirements
- BS degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field, MBA is a plus;
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in campaign development within the luxury retail sector;
- Excellent written, visual and other communication skills with a proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely;
- Must have Salesforce experience and familiarity with other marketing tools to create and execute campaigns and programs;
- Must have experience in building and creating emails from copy to building layout;
- High level of expertise with Microstrategy, Business Objects, Cognos;
- High level of expertise with CRM systems, Oracle, Siebel, Acxiom etc.;
- Experience working with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture, etc) and data visualization tools (Tableau, BI tools, etc.).
- Familiarity with HTML;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, and general understanding of other analytical tools;
- Proven analytical skills with a strong grasp of KPIs and ability to strategize;
- Experience with catalog and/or direct marketing environment, as well as email and mobile campaign management;
- Experience developing segmentation strategies, customer journeys, and leading successful email personalization strategies.
