The Email Technology Specialist is a seasoned user of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud email platform and is responsible for the set up and deployment management of The Home Depot’s email program within SFMC. This role requires extensive technical comprehension of SFMC Einstein and Journey-Builder. The Email Technology Specialist is accountable for segmentation and personalization set up in SFMC as well as live testing, quality assurance testing and deployment of all emails.
The Email Technology Specialist is acquainted with email trends and insights which will help support the internal Marketing and CRM teams to produce engaging and relevant email campaigns across all e-mail marketing efforts (within programs such as Garden Club, Pro Contractor, and our overall Consumer e-mail campaigns). The Email Technology Specialist will also analyse and report on the health of the emails, including KPI measurements and trends.

Lead the development of new email journeys, personalization, and support A/B testing
Provide thought leadership and recommendations for how all aspects of the Salesforce platform can advance Home Depot’s digital transformation
Manage email campaigns on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
Apply all planned segmentation and A/B tests to emails prior to scheduled deployment
Integrate marketing technology products with each other (Movable Ink and API feeds into SFMC) and support application of said integrations as required based on individual email objectives
Build SFMC triggered lifecycle journey campaigns, execute QA testing and deploy all emails.
Act as day-to-day lead and administration for all internal and external SFMC users.
Monitor quality within marketing technology products. Example - list health, triggered email program health, API feed and 3rd party integration function. Manage fix for any issues that may be uncovered.
Monitor health of customer privacy and compliance within marketing technology products and manage fix for any issues that may be uncovered.
Monitor data flow and accuracy. Play a key role to ensure The Home Depot is meeting all compliance requirements and guidelines.
Collaborate with Analytics teams to manage lists and segments within SFMC in order to deploy dynamic, localized, and personalized emails
Collaborate with the CRM, production and marketing teams to ensure the email campaign delivers on the objectives.
Collaborate with Product team to implement and improve marketing technology products.
Recommend and implement email best practices.
Analyze and report on a scheduled basis as well as upon request. Reporting should include predetermined KPI measurements as well as highlighting successes, trends and opportunities.
Experience / Knowledge Required:
3-5 years experience in Database Marketing and Management
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification or extensive experience with Marketing Cloud
Experience working with email marketing and marketing automation on Salesforce Marketing Cloud required. Marketing Cloud AMPScript familiarity & experience a plus.
Experience managing clients either internally or in an agency environment
Fluency in HTML to debug outbound emails ahead of each send
Experience with email data, list management, segmentation, and campaign management
Passion to dive into a customer database, to ensure accurate segmentation so the right people are getting the right content at the right time.
Analytically strong and can create and optimize campaigns based on the data available
Ability to build out the systems and processes needed to support foundational requirements for future growth
Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
Proven track record of meeting campaign performance goals
Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions based off data analytics
Understanding of email marketing best practices
Skilled in marketing testing, data analysis, and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment
Bachelor’s degree, college diploma or relevant work experience
