Team Liquid (TL) is a world-renowned professional esports organization, with offices in Santa Monica, CA, and the Netherlands, also ranked as one of the top three most valuable esports organizations by Forbes. We’re currently competing in over 20 different esports titles. We’re well on our way to help shape the world of esports, all thanks to our incredible fans, athletes, influencers, content creators, Liquid+, and Liquipedia (the world’s most extensive esports wiki).


The Opportunity: 

The CRM/Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing Team Liquid’s digital communication channels. Via our fan engagement platform Liquid+ (www.liquidplus.com), we have a direct link to and detailed insights of our hundreds of thousands of fans. The person we’re looking for will leverage our CRM system (Salesforce) to create engaging emails, text messages, and mobile notifications based on personal level data and upcoming Team Liquid events. They will also use our data studio to develop dashboards and extract useful fan information to support our operations and help grow the team’s fan base.


Your day-to-day responsibilities: 

  1. Campaign Development
  2. Develop and activate programs to grow fan communications across web, social, product, commerce, and community.
  3. Draft and distribute highly customized messaging aimed to build fan engagement and loyalty.
  4. Connect with other teams across the organization to find and act on opportunities to boost fan engagement via our CRM capabilities.
  5. Email Marketing
  6. Designs, implements, and manages an email calendar and automated journeys for the Liquid+, commerce, community, and other teams. (leveraging our copywriting and graphics teams for the content). These can range from happy birthday emails to custom notifications (you are a top 5% CS:GO viewer, and there’s a CS:GO Quest coming up!) to the “year in review” emails.
  7. Leads organizational alignment, plus consistency and the customization of messaging to all fan groups.
  8. SMS Marketing
  9. Manages an SMS system for our activations to better communicate with fans.

  11. Information Management
  12. Define, organize, and implement systems to communicate with fans and customers across the organization efficiently and effectively.
  13. Safe keeps and reserves fan information to meet all privacy and regulatory standards.
  14. Reports and analyzes all system insights and the esports landscape to consistently maximize messaging impact.


Ideally, you have: 

  • 4+ combined years of professional experience in CRM, email marketing, SMS/push notifications, and database marketing.
  • Hands-on business experience in working with customer loyalty and subscription applications.
  • Direct experience with third and first-party consumer data handling, interpretation, and application.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the esports industry and consumer-preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of esports social platforms (Twitch, Discord) and all mainstream social media channels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suites.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% of the year.
